Ruhig, freundlich, fachlich top.
What you should know before the first appointment.
Question not answered? Send me a short email.
How far do you travel for an appointment?
My regular service area covers about 150 km around Hövelhof. For group appointments with several horses I travel further, across Germany on request and abroad by plane. What matters is the number of horses, not the distance.
How often should a horse be shod?
The usual interval is 6 to 8 weeks. Depending on hoof growth, workload and ground conditions, the interval can vary slightly.
Do you work with my vet?
Yes. For orthopaedic cases, coordinating with the treating vet is standard. Findings and X-rays help me plan the right shoeing.
Do you shoe young horses for the first time?
Gladly. At the first appointment in particular, I take extra time so the horse can build trust. Calm matters more than speed.
How do I book an appointment?
The easiest way is by email to hufbeschlagkors@gmail.com, with your location, the number of horses and your preferred time frame. By phone on +49 160 94942545, in German.
Can I get in touch in English?
